钢珠破裂：钢珠常用的材质是铬钼钢，若要使一颗直径3.175mm的钢珠破裂，约须1400kg-1600kg。滚珠丝杠有、无润滑于作动时温升差异明显，此温升可能造成钢珠破裂或损坏因此造成螺帽或丝杆珠槽的损坏。因此设计过程中须考虑润滑油的补充，如无法使用自动润滑系统，须将润滑油的补充计划列入保养手册。
